The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Rome Office, hereby announces a recruitment selection for qualified individuals to fulfil two (2) temporary operational positions as Marketing Officer. Detailed terms and conditions are set forth below:
- POSITION, COMPENSATION, AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Position Title: Marketing Officer (Operational Level)
- Remuneration: Starting base salary of 2,306 EUR per month (gross compensation prior to statutory personal income tax withholdings; excluding per diem allowances or holiday overtime compensation).
- Date of Commencement: October 1, 2026.
- Probationary Period: Three (3) months, effective from October 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026.
- Tenure of Employment: Temporary employment contract for a duration of one (1) year, subject to performance evaluation for potential long-term contract renewal.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The designated officer shall execute official duties within the jurisdiction of the TAT Rome Office, encompassing the Republic of Italy, the Kingdom of Spain, the Republic of Portugal, the Hellenic Republic, the State of Israel, the Republic of Türkiye, and the Republic of Cyprus. The core responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
2.1 Establish, cultivate, and maintain sustainable professional relations with travel industry stakeholders, media organizations within the assigned territories, and tourism enterprises in Thailand.
2.2 Compile, systematically maintain, and continuously update comprehensive directory databases of relevant trade contacts, media personnel, and partner organizations.
2.3 Coordinate and oversee the execution of tourism promotion events, trade fairs, and exhibitions, whether organized directly by the office or in which the office participates.
2.4 Represent and staff the official exhibition pavilion/booth at designated promotional trade shows and marketing events.
2.5 Escort and facilitate official delegations consisting of travel trade representatives and media personnel invited by the office to undertake familiarization visits to Thailand.
2.6 Monitor, analyse, and report on market trends, consumer behaviour, and tourism developments within the area of responsibility.
2.7 Conceptualize, design, and produce public relations materials and promotional media for marketing campaigns.
2.8 Perform other official duties as assigned by the Director or Deputy Director.
Operational Mandate: The incumbent must demonstrate availability to perform duties beyond standard working hours as required and be fully capable of undertaking short-term and long-term domestic and international official travel within the office’s area of jurisdiction and to Thailand.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
3.1 Male or Female, aged between 25 and 45 years as of the application deadline date. Applicants must hold legal residence status in the Republic of Italy with full authorization to work and possess a clean criminal record.
3.2 Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education qualification recognized by relevant authorities.
3.3 Demonstrate high proficiency (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) in Thai, Italian, and English.
3.4 Possess advanced computer literacy and technical competence in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Canva, alongside proficient multilingual keyboard typing skills in Thai, English, and Italian.
3.5 Demonstrate functional proficiency in Google Workspace applications (Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides) and digital content/media creation.
3.6 Prior professional experience in Marketing, Public Relations, or the promotion of Thailand tourism will be accorded special consideration.
3.7 Exhibit punctuality, high professional dedication, strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, a service-oriented mindset, and adaptability to work overtime or perform field assignments when required.
3.8 Possess good physical and mental health suitable for the execution of official duties.
- MANDATORY SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
4.1 Certified true copy of Academic Transcript or Degree Certificate verifying educational qualifications relevant to the position.
4.2 Curriculum Vitae (maximum length of two (2) pages, submitted in Thai and Italian and/or English), accompanied by a clear passport-sized photograph taken within the preceding three (3) months.
4.3 Documentary evidence confirming prior relevant work experience.
4.4 Formal Letters of Recommendation or Professional References (if available).
4.5 Copy of valid Italian Residence Permit (Permesso di Soggiorno) or valid Passport copy including the entry visa stamp valid through the application closing date.
4.6 Other relevant supplementary documentation (e.g., valid Driver’s License), if applicable

6.1 August 25, 2026: Official publication of candidates eligible for the written examination, including venue
6.2 September 1, 2026: Administration of the written examination.
6.3 September 4, 2026: Official publication of candidates qualified for the interview phase.
6.4 September 9, 2026: Conduct of interview examinations.
6.5 September 14, 2026: Announcement of final selected candidates.
